Brewed my first cup this morning and the color was so deep and rich, almost like a dark jade. That sweet, mellow taste from the straw-grown leaves really came through, and the caddy keeps it perfectly fresh for my daily ritual.
The straw-shading process really comes through—this gyokuro brews up that classic jade color with a natural sweetness I haven't found in other greens. The caddy keeps the leaves fresh for weeks, and the aroma when I open it is like fresh-cut grass.
The deep green liquor from this caddy is exactly as described—rich, almost syrupy, with that subtle sweetness that lingers. The leaves stay vibrant and fresh thanks to the sealed tin, so my first cup tasted just as good as my last.
